I had the wonderful opportunity this month to travel to New York City to perform in the famed Carnegie Hall with some of my fellow students.
A friend and I had the opportunity to go see the Lion King on Broadway, a show I had wanted to see for quite some time. It was fabulous! The costumes and dancing were the most impressive part. Afterwards, we went to the famous restaurant Junior’s, right next to the theater, and met some other friends who had gone to see a different show. There I had one of their famous steak burgers (the patty was huge!) and a piece of their raspberry cheesecake.
The performance Monday night went very well! We performed with the New York Chamber Orchestra, all fabulous musicians. The hall was absolutely beautiful and we marveled at all the autographs of various pieces and signed pictures of famous conductors throughout the building. My parents were fortunate enough to attend the performance, so that was really special for all of us.
I was really glad to have had the opportunity to make my Carnegie debut and to make such beautiful music with so many people. I hope to have the chance to go back someday!
