As the year come to a close, its good to look back and see what a great year and semester it's been for our chapter. From singing in church under the bridge, to playing hide and seek during rush, to singing and performing music to the elderly. It's been a wonderful year. We've made lot's of memories this year, and we hope the coming year is full of more to come. Happy New Year from Mu Phi Epsilon.

Here are the pictures from our super fun pumpkin carving social! This was a great way to welcome fall and Halloween time!
The start of classes has rolled around here at beautiful Baylor, and with it came the first Mu Phi meeting of the school year! We are all so excited for the upcoming semester. There are plans in motion for Take-a-Dates, service events, fundraisers, and RUSH! The anticipation is intense!
We had people from our chapter doing amazing things this summer. The diversity in the chapter is such a blessing. There were folks in with internships in New York and Disney! A lot of people were helping with local marching band programs or with the Baylor band camps- fulfilling Mu Phi's purpose of service through music! I know we all left with high hopes for our chapter this year and a renewed sense of camaraderie with our sisters and brothers. Be on the look out for Rush Fall 2016 information! -Ellen On April 29, Mu Phi went to clean up Cameron Park! It was a great day for helping nature do it's thing- being beautiful! We went and bonded over Mexican food after the park was all clean and spiffy. Time spent with Mu Phi is always uplifting and positive! And there were puppies! Amazing! This was also the first time the new Historians, Kyle and Ellen, got a chance to take pictures at an event! It was super fun to learn from Emily and take snaps of everyone's pretty, smiling faces. Spaghetti dinner this year was loads of fun and a success! It was held at Austin Avenue United Methodist Church on April 30th. It was so much fun to get to eat yummy food with friends between all the concerts on that busy day! A big thanks to everyone who came out and ate! :) This May, we had two members graduate from Baylor University; Ashley Fincher (former Social Chair) and Emily Thomasson (former Historian). Congratulations to both of you, and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! Ashley Fincher
Last night the Phi Xi chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon and Gamma Iota chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia hosted their 2nd Annual School of Music Formal. This year, the theme was "Under the Sea"! Everyone enjoyed tasty Tex-Mex and desserts, dancing, and a photo booth. After months of preparation, it was a huge success, and everyone had a lot of fun letting loose at the end of the semester. Below are some pictures from the photo booth, etc. Last week, our new members from Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 performed a joint Pledge Clas Recital. It was High School Musical themed, and it was hilarious and fun! We are so proud of you all, and are so happy that you have joined our chapter!
On March 23rd, the Phi Xi Chapter presented a chapter recital in Meadows Recital Hall. Many friends and new members gathered to watch, and they enjoyed a reception following the recital. Some of the performers included Lauren Ancell and Ashley Bogisch playing a flute duet, Rachel Stern singing a solo, Rachel Frederiksen playing a basoon solo, Tori Thibodeaux sing a solo, and Tori Dinan (horn) and Lorin Mott (clarinet) playing a duet. We are so excited and proud to initiate 9 new members this spring! Congratulations to Kyle, Ellen, Julia, Kasey, Rachel, Jourdan, John, Alexis, and Alie! |
